In Feb 2003, EU's parliament and council issued 2002/95/EC<Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances In Electrical and Electronic Equipment>. RoHS is the abbreviation of Restriction of Hazardous Substances. This directive regulates that from July 1, 2006, all the large-scale household appliances, pint-size household appliances, IT & telecommunication equipments, consumer equipments, lighting equipments, electrical and electronic tools, toys, leisure and sports equipments and automatic dispensers that for the EU market must be restricted the use of Pb, Hg, Cd, Cr(VI), PBDEs, PBBs, The directive will bring great influence to our country’s electrical and electronic products exportation to EU, and the relative domestic industry must pay highly attention to the directive. The export corporation may face a great economic risk if they do not take efficient methods. In order to help the corporations to reply the EU’s directive and expand the export, our lab carried out the relative researches, communicated with the global technical institutions and attended lots of scientific research projects at the first publication of the RoHS directive. Now we can provide you with the testing services, so that we can advice you how to select the testing samples & testing methods and control the content of the hazardous substances in the products. We also issue the RoHS certificate and testing report to ensure that your products can enter the EU’ market successfully. Before sampling, the end product or parts for testing should be divided into single homogeneous parts and packed separately, then be delivered to our lab or entrust our lab to split them. The singleness of end product can be seperated as metal parts and non-metal parts. And there are only four testing items for metal parts: Pb, Hg, Cd, Cr6+ , while for non-metal parts, there are six testing items totally, not only including the four testing items mentioned above, but also including two more testing items: PBDEs and PBBs.
